PUBLIC NOTICE
BOLIVIA, N.C. – Brunswick County Library invites the public to attend the upcoming Community Open House for the Bookmobile on Monday, Sept. 21, 2026, at the Government Center in Bolivia. The event celebrates the Bookmobile’s first six months of service.
During the open house, community members can walk through the Bookmobile, get or renew their library cards, browse and check out materials, place materials on hold from other branches to be picked up at a future Bookmobile stop, return library materials, and more.
Since its launch in March 2026, the Bookmobile has operated on a three-week rotation schedule, visiting 37 locations across the county. These stops include 16 public sites, 14 childcare centers, 6 senior living facilities, and Brunswick Community College's Brunswick Interagency Program.
In its first six months on the road, the Bookmobile team has helped expand access to library services by serving 5,068 patrons, issuing 249 new library cards, participating in several community events, and circulating more than 2,900 library items.
For more information or questions about the community open house, contact Brunswick County Library at 910.253.BOOK (2665) or via email.
